Take the first step in your journey as a yoga teacher, refresh your skills or simply explore mind-body empowerment with our Yoga Alliance-registered teacher training program. Our program is designed for Yoga Teachers in Training (YTT’s) who seek any of the following:
- A professional, well-rounded training program for personal growth and self discovery
- Spiritual-mind-body empowerment through deep exploration and study of the Vinyasa Yoga tradition
- Certification, skills, and knowledge in the yogic sciences and arts, so you can teach students practices to support a balanced life and healthy living
- To refresh knowledge and skills, enriching a certification you have already obtained in any Yoga tradition
- A program that can be integrated into a busy schedule, accommodating other life responsibilities and/or jobs

Our training programs are offered in three modules, which may be taken in any order to support personal development or as part of our Yoga Alliance-certified 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program. The program covers:
100 Hours: Yoga Practice and Techniques Training
Practice with experienced teachers and explore analytical teaching; learning how to successfully execute guided practice of techniques including asanas, pranayamas, kriyas, chanting, mantra, meditation and other traditional yoga techniques.
65 Hours: Yoga Philosophy, Psychology, and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
Includes 25 hours on the Philosophy of Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Upanishads; 25 hours on Psychology and Energetics of the mental, emotional, and subtle energetic bodies; 10 hours on supporting a peaceful and ethical yogic lifestyle for Yoga Teachers and their students; and five hours on breathing techniques and the role of the breath.
25 Hours: Anatomy and Physiology
Understand body mechanics, motion, and safety guidelines within the joints and musculature of the physical body.
15 Hours: Practicum
Includes five hours of practice in teaching students, and 10 hours of assisting students, receiving feedback, observing others teaching, and hearing and giving feedback to others teaching.
5 Hours: Business, Management and Marketing of Yoga
Review strategies for responsible business management and marketing yourself as a yoga teacher, along with the basics of legalities, liabilities, insurance and taxes.
5 Hours: Karma Yoga in the Service of Others
Connect to a cause close to your heart to engage your passion for yoga and service towards others.

TUITION
Your tuition fee of $3,500 includes unlimited yoga classes at Basil Yoga Center during the duration of your enrolled module, helping you accrue the non-contact hours required to graduate from the program. An additional materials and books fee of $250 covers your training manual and all reading materials used in the program – 15 books in all. Modules may also be paid for separately, with discounted early bird pricing available.
